The Quantity Surveyor will independently deliver daytoday cost management duties on small to medium projects and support senior colleagues on larger or more complex commissions. The role requires sound technical capability commercial awareness and the ability to interface directly with clients and project teams.
Your role
- Undertake measurements using measurement software i.e. CostX
- Prepare cost plans estimates BOQs tender documents and procurement strategies
- Manage tender processes analysis and recommendations
- Deliver core postcontract services including valuations cost reporting forecasting and final accounts
- Manage change control risk and commercial compliance
- Provide commercial advice to clients and coordinate with project stakeholders
- Attend site inspections and prepare progress assessments
- Support value engineering and option appraisal activity
- Ensure work complies with QA governance and reporting standards

About you
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Holding or working towards MRICS status
- Based in the Manchester office 3 days a week
- Good understanding of cost planning procurement and contract administration
- Familiarity with NEC / JCT contracts
- Strong clientfacing communication skills
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Proficiency in measurement software
