Job Summary
This is a short term assignment in Supply Chain function based out of Johannesburg South Africa.
You will study and analyze the end-to-end process maps identify gap/improvement areas and work with the local and global teams to drive implementation of necessary interventions / digital solutions and execution of the revamped processes to demonstrate a step change in South Africas supply chain systems & processes.
The scope will include :
- Demand planning processes including forecasting model sales correction consensus forecast finalization etc.
- Forecasting in planning system i.e. Kinaxis order placement to suppliers
- Supply plan execution stock dispatches prevention of sales losses
- Inventory norms for maintenance of stock levels inventory deployment stock write-offs
- OTIF (On-Time and In-Full) order fulfilment governance and continuous performance reviews to improve service levels
- Local Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and MIS reports
- Local warehouse operations
- New product launches with adequate launch stock
- Compliance with all regulatory and quality norms in co-ordination with the local and global RA QA teams including change of artwork etc.
Qualifications :
Educational qualification: Formal qualification in supply chain management; APICS certification would be an advantage
Minimum work experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in demand/supply planning inventory management or Sales & Operations planning in a pharmaceutical or FMCG environment preferred
Skills & attributes:
- Experience in working with SCM ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
- Knowledge of calculating and tracking performance through supply chain KPIs (backorders sales losses forecast accuracy/error % (MAPE) OTIF (On-Time In-Full) Inventory value at risk etc.)
- Ability to work independently and communicate at all levels
- Proven track record of driving new projects and initiatives in collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams
- Assertive and results driven
- High level of integrity and adherence to all compliance guidelines
- Customer-focused and performance-driven
