Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Courtin West Palm Beach FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as a Screener where you will greet visitors conduct entry screening verify credentials monitor checkpoints and document security-related activity. You will remain highly visible communicate clearly with staff and the public and help support smooth daily operations with a customer-focused approach. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen employees visitors and contractors at entry points using access control protocols identification verification and authorized screening equipment while helping to deter prohibited items from entering the facility.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site leadership and/or public agency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
- Complete required logs and incident reports document screening activity when requested and communicate concerns through the established chain of command.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 years combined law enforcement military and/or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree criminal justice.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Must have a guard card
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
