Job Opportunity: Senior Trademark Executive
Responsibilities
Client Consultancy
- Provide expert consultancy services on IP rights including trademarks trade secrets copyright and industrial design rights.
- Guide clients through all aspects of their IP matters.
Trademark & Design Prosecution
- Prepare and manage documentation for trademark and design registrations.
- Draft submissions and arguments for office actions and oppositions.
Contentious Matters & Dispute Resolution
- Handle complex IP disputes investigations negotiations and oppositions.
- Draft and review agreements and submissions for hearings and contentious cases.
Client Communication & Project Management
- Act as the primary contact for large-scale and special clients.
- Lead and manage departmental projects ensuring objectives are met with high-quality standards.
Training & Supervision
- Train and supervise junior executives and paralegals to ensure efficiency.
- Review drafts prepared by junior staff and develop systems to enhance productivity.
Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
- Deliver seminars webinars and write articles on IP-related topics.
- Stay updated on trends legislative rulings and procedural changes in IP administration.
Quality Control & Deadline Management
- Ensure timely responses to office actions and client inquiries.
- Maintain high-quality standards in all deliverables.
Departmental Improvement & Innovation
- Identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance departmental performance.
Qualifications
Academic Background
- Degree in Law with a minimum of Second-Class Honors Upper Division (2.1).
Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in the Intellectual Property field.
- Proven expertise in conducting trademark searches and advising on trademark design and copyright law.
- Experience in filing trademarks design and copyright applications.
Skills
- Excellent command of English with strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical conceptual and reasoning abilities.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
- Demonstrates integrity ethical work practices and a commitment to continuous learning.
Additional Requirements
- Experience in managing contentious IP cases and advising on opposition and dispute resolution matters.
- Proactive problem-solving and innovative mindset.
- A positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
