What Youll Responsible For:

  • Provide regulatory support and guidance to WSM Management Office on compliance requirements for vessels trading to the USA Canada and other regions.

  • Support GHSEQ administrative processes related to vessel compliance and regulatory documentation.

  • Coordinate with Management Centres on the procurement renewal and upkeep of required plans and certificates including:

    • OPA 90 requirements

    • Federal and state-specific regulations

    • MARPOL compliance

    • Panama Canal requirements

    • Other applicable international regulations

  • Ensure vessels trading to the USA Canada and other applicable regions are properly enrolled in required agreements and programs including:

    • Qualified Individual (QI)

    • Oil Spill Response Organization (OSRO)

    • Salvage and Marine Firefighting (SMFF)

    • Media Management services

    • State-specific marine and spill response programs

  • Administer and reconcile annual fees for contracted compliance resources (QI OSRO SMFF Media Management services) on behalf of customers.

  • Maintain and regularly update the GHSEQ compliance database including vessel records regulatory plans certificates and compliance status.

  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

  • Support audits and inspections related to regulatory and environmental compliance.

  • And ad hoc tasks that requested.

What Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelors degree in Maritime Studies Marine Engineering Environmental Management or related field.

  • Experience in maritime compliance GHSEQ or marine regulatory administration.

  • Familiarity with OPA 90 MARPOL and North American regulatory frameworks is preferred.

  • Strong administrative coordination and documentation skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple compliance requirements simultaneously.
