Civil Engineer Entry Level - Raleigh NC
Parrish and Partners is seeking an entry level civil engineer for our Raleigh NC office. The individual should enjoy working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and possess the communication skills necessary to coordinate with staff and other design disciplines. This person will work with staff on various transportation improvement projects including interstate/interchanges roadway widening bridge replacements and new location projects.
Duties:
- Collecting and analyzing project data
- Leading or assisting in the design and development of roadway plans specifications design calculations and technical documents
- Calculating quantities and developing cost estimates
- Producing a complete plan set
- Working with other design disciplines
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 0 - 2 years of experience in the field of civil engineering
- Previous internships with civil engineering firms are a plus
- Familiarity with MicroStation GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling and OpenRoads Designer
- Knowledge of AASHTO and NCDOT roadway design guidelines standards and specifications is a plus
- NCDOT highway design experience is a plus
