Job Summary
Summary The Food Service Worker performs a variety of functions related to the safe assembly distribution and service of food for Hospital patients visitors and staff. Does this position require Patient Care No Essential Functions-Attends department meetings monthly in-services training classes etc. as assigned.
-Anticipates and meets customer needs; takes appropriate steps to rectify issues.
-Maintains cleanliness of work areas.
-Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment.
-Demonstrates a positive and friendly attitude.
-Adheres to all HACCP standards.
-Alerts supervisor to any concerns discrepancies product shortages etc.
-Actively supports and upholds department goals to maintain or improve operations and customer satisfaction.
-Works in various tray line cafeteria and kitchen positions. Sets up and stocks food station for meal service. Assembles patient trays serves food and beverage to retail customers and/or delivers or retrieves trays from patient rooms.
-Cleans station equipment and floors at the end of each meal.
-Position may include operating dish machine trash compactor mopping floors.
-Prepares additional food items for patient tray line and cafeteria operations.
-Regularly works on sanitation projects assigned by manager.
-Assists with training of new employees as well as cross-training of fellow employees.
