Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity reliability and performance of critical systems utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps to streamline processes and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive configuration management plan.
- Establish and maintain a centralized repository for storing configuration items.
- Utilize Azure DevOps to track manage and automate changes to hardware software and documentation.
- Implement a rigorous change control process to evaluate approve and implement modifications.
- Monitor and audit configurations continuously to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Generate detailed reports and analytics to provide insights into configuration trends and identify potential issues.
- Provide training and support to staff on configuration management best practices and effective use of Azure DevOps.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Configuration Manager or in a similar role preferably within a research or governmental organization.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management principles practices and tools.
- Proficiency in using Azure DevOps for configuration management CI/CD pipelines and reporting.
- Knowledge of Scrum Agile development methodology
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide training to staff.
- Certification in Configuration Management (e.g. ITIL PMP or similar).
- Experience with other configuration management tools and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
$115000 - $160000 a year
