We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Physical Education Teacher for Grades 35 for next school year.
Position Overview
The Grade 35 PE Teacher will design and implement engaging standards-based physical education instruction that promotes fitness skill development teamwork sportsmanship and healthy lifestyle habits. The ideal candidate fosters a safe inclusive and active learning environment where all students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate PE lessons aligned with state standards
- Teach and model fundamental movement skills team sports fitness concepts and cooperative games
- Promote sportsmanship teamwork and positive behavior
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Organize and support school-wide fitness initiatives or field day events
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe gym and outdoor environment
- Communicate regularly with families and staff
- Support with other needs and events around the school
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Physical Education Kinesiology or related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Physical Education
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate physical activity instruction
Preferred:
- Experience teaching upper elementary students
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience organizing school-wide athletic or wellness events
- Strong classroom management and behavior support skills
