Resource Planning Analyst, Forestry Modelling and Analytics

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support for tactical planning in collaboration with Operations to ensure harvest scheduling budgeting and harvest plan execution decision support is timely and accurate.

• Provide and maintain timely accurate value-added information in the realms of harvest scheduling tactical and long term planning and timber investment analysis for various Timber and Ag business sectors.

• Establish and maintain long term plans for client properties.

• Support the development of regional price curves and other inputs.

• Provide discounted cash flow and other financial analysis to evaluate and support timber management decisions value-added and environmental service projects (carbon wind conservation easement water wood supply agreements etc.).

• Support the business conformance with certification requirements and support management systems that enable the advancement of the forest stewardship commitment.

• Continuously improve business procedures and provide training and support to ensure the effective deployment and use of property data and business systems.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in forestry or a related discipline.

• A graduate degree in a forestry discipline or business is highly desirable.

• A knowledge of silviculture forest mensuration timberland appraisals growth and yield models timber supply and demand models forestry operations and forest regulations.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Possess proficient writing skills to prepare professional reports and management plans and strong verbal communication skills.

• Must be a team player highly motivated innovative and entrepreneurial in nature.
