This position is located at the Rocky River Medical Outpatient Center at 19800 Detroit Rd in Rocky River Ohio.
A caregiver in this position worksvariable hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm with evening/Saturday rotations. Hours will be based on facility needs with occasional 7:30am start times.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
- Assess health status complete nursing assessments perform telephonetriageandestablishcare plans.
- Administermedicationand treatments.
- Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
- Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
- Assistwith specialized diagnostic procedures therapeuticproceduresand specialized patient care equipment.
- Develop evaluateadaptand document health education and provide it to patients and families.
- Cover other nursing roles within the department.
- Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate from an accreditedSchool ofNursing(ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One yearof recent experience as an RNORLPN MedicalAssistantand/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experienceif applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role butremainingin the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting ORa current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- BachelorsofScience inNursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
- Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
