Additionally the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your location is in Middleburg with cross training at Elyria Chestnut Commons and Strongsville FHC.

This position is located at the Rocky River Medical Outpatient Center at 19800 Detroit Rd in Rocky River Ohio.

A caregiver in this position worksvariable hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm with evening/Saturday rotations. Hours will be based on facility needs with occasional 7:30am start times.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.

• Assess health status complete nursing assessments perform telephonetriageandestablishcare plans.

• Administermedicationand treatments.

• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.

• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.

• Assistwith specialized diagnostic procedures therapeuticproceduresand specialized patient care equipment.

• Develop evaluateadaptand document health education and provide it to patients and families.

• Cover other nursing roles within the department.

• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accreditedSchool ofNursing(ADN or BSN program)

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

• Basic Life Support (BLS)Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

• One yearof recent experience as an RNORLPN MedicalAssistantand/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experienceif applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role butremainingin the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting ORa current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• BachelorsofScience inNursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
