Job Summary

We are sharing a specialised opportunity for experienced Family Medicine / Primary Care Physicians to support a leading healthcare AI initiative focused on developing advanced clinical decision-support systems.
This role involves applying clinical expertise to review annotate and validate medical data that will help train safe accurate and explainable AI systems used in healthcare environments.

This is an in-person role based in San Francisco supporting a healthcare AI partner working on next-generation medical AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

Review and annotate clinical text EHR records and case notes for AI model training
Identify and validate medical entities diagnoses treatment pathways and patient outcomes
Audit annotated datasets for clinical accuracy and consistency
Evaluate AI-generated clinical recommendations and summaries for medical correctness
Provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning and clinical decision support
Contribute to clinical annotation guidelines taxonomy development and edge-case definitions
Support documentation standards and training materials for new annotators

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

MD or DO degree with specialization in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active medical license in good standing
2 years of clinical experience in inpatient or hospitalist settings
Strong clinical reasoning and ability to review complex medical documentation
Excellent written communication with strong attention to detail

Nice to Have:

Experience working in academic hospitals or research environments
Familiarity with clinical data systems or electronic health records (EHRs)
Interest in healthcare AI and clinical decision-support systems

Contract Details

Independent contractor role
On-site position in San Francisco
Expected workload: approximately part-time engagement
Project duration: 34 weeks starting immediately (with potential extension)
Compensation: $170$190 per hour
Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
Projects may extend or adjust depending on scope and performance
