Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up operate and maintain CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision components. The ideal candidate has strong machining fundamentals understands blueprints and tolerances and takes pride in producing accurate repeatable parts in a safe and efficient manner.
This role plays a key part in maintaining production schedules quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision parts

Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and GD&T specifications
-
Select and install appropriate tooling fixtures and work-holding devices
-
Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
-
Adjust machine offsets and make program edits as needed to maintain tolerances
-
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
-
Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety standards
-
Document production activity and inspection results accurately
-
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve machining processes
-
Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements
Qualifications
Required
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
-
Working knowledge of precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers height gauges etc.)
-
Understanding of machining tolerances and surface finish requirements
-
Experience with basic program edits at the machine (G-code familiarity preferred)
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred

Experience with multi-axis machining (4-axis / 5-axis)
-
Familiarity with CAM software
-
Experience in high-precision industries (medical device aerospace defense etc.)
-
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Work Environment

Manufacturing floor setting

Standing for extended periods
-
Lifting materials up to 25 lbs

Exposure to machining fluids and industrial equipment
