Job Summary
Position : Accountant (AR AP Inventory)

Company & Role Overview
We are a group of small growing family businesses in the steel products and luxury equine space with an entrepreneurial culture expanding into new product and service offerings. Our team is small yet distributed in various US states and countries. We operate using Quickbooks Online in a few company files. This role is best suited for a person who can work without supervision takes the initiative likes to learn new things and is willing to grow with us. Given that some of our customers are purchasing luxury products we need someone with a professional and refined approach with excellent English skills.

Duties
- AR: Generate invoices customer-friendly collections & billing inquiries keep AR agings current and provide reporting to management. Ensure that appropriate sales tax is collected for each invoice.
- AP: Receive and route invoices for approval cross check against receipt of goods and services enter into Quickbooks and reconcile vendor accounts. Note that while invoice volume is lower than normal complexity is higher as some items are inventory pieces others are drop shipments and most major vendor relationships require payment only when a job is completed so there is a relationship between AR and AP.
- Inventory: Cross check monthly inventory counts with Quickbooks troubleshoot and update. Accurately ensure purchasing and billing is using correct part numbers and that costing is correct.
- Month End: Over time there will be the opportunity to assist with month end functions and grow with the company.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- College degree in business accounting finance or related role
- Excellent English
- Very organized detail oriented and diligent.
- Personality well matched for a small business: tasks change and challenges arise as a matter of course. Someone who prefers a corporate environment should not apply.
- Experience with Quickbooks is helpful but not required. Inventory experience is a significant plus.
