Full-Time Practical Nurse DayEve Instructor

Full-Time flex position available in the practical nurse program at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School. The practical nurse instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom lab simulation and clinical instruction in the full day program as well as staff coverage for the evening program as needed. A qualified candidate must meet the following criteria: REGISTRATION: Possess a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standingCERTIFICATION: Candidate must have or is working towards a Professional Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary EducationEDUCATION: Possess a Bachelors degree in nursing; Masters degree in nursing preferred EXPERIENCE: Possess a minimum of two years full-time experience in nursing or its equivalent within the last five years and evidence of clinical competence in the area(s) of clinical instruction. Previous teaching experience in a nursing education program strongly preferred RESPONSIBILITIES: This position ensures that students acquire the knowledge clinical judgment and practical skills necessary to successfully complete the curriculum and meet program outcomes. Responsibilities include but not limited to: instructs supervises and evaluates students in nursing courses under the supervision of the Nursing Program Coordinator and in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the school assumes responsibility for assigned courses including the development and maintenance of all course materials including the syllabus and outline and test construction and analysis participates in the governance of the parent institution participates in monthly faculty meetings for the purpose of evaluating the program as well as student progress provide clinical instruction and supervision for up to ten (10) practical nurse students at clinical cooperating agencies develop and maintain a safe classroom environment conducive to effective learning employs a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs of all students contribute to evaluation of the program effectiveness in accordance with the program Systematic Evaluation Plan (SEP) communicates and collaborates regularly with other nursing instructors to ensure program consistency and performs other duties as assigned by the Nursing Program Coordinator.
