numerous OCONUS locations availableJob DescriptionThe Intelligence Analyst II Strategic Threat Assessment and Risk conducts all-source intelligence analysis of the threat environment using both classified and open-source reporting streams and pertaining to geographic region(s) of coverage with a focus on technical espionage threats and vulnerabilities. Using qualitative and quantitative analytical risk management methodologies the analyst conducts risk analysis for overseas diplomatic facilities and works with subject matter experts to help develop risk mitigation strategies. The analyst coordinates information collection efforts with overseas security personnel to enhance the quality of threat reporting compiles threat information into periodic reports for overseas missions and domestic planning and provides both written and verbal briefings for executive-level and other State Department personnel. The analyst participates in Department and interagency committees conferences and working groups and collaborates with analysts across the intelligence law enforcement and international communities. The Intelligence Analyst II is responsible for working with data throughout its lifecycle including collection management analysis reporting and secure disposition to support threat assessment and risk management activities.Key Duties Produce tactical intelligence assessments for global missions.
Support CI investigations and anomaly reporting.
Provide written and verbal briefings to senior audiences.
Coordinate with regional analysts to fuse strategic and tactical intel.
Requirements Current U.S. Government final Top Secret security clearance and qualified for SCI access.
Eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance/access approvals.
Bachelors degree required.
Federal employee currently or previously assigned to the GS-0132 series (or contractor equivalent) with at least one (1) year of experience.
Current or previous experience as an all-source intelligence analyst in the intelligence or law enforcement communities for a minimum of one (1) year; or
o Three (3) years experience as a Security Engineering Officer or Regional Security Officer in the Diplomatic Security Service;
o Three (3) years experience as a credentialed or certified technical security expert counterintelligence agent or technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) practitioner; or
o Four (4) years service in the U.S. Armed Services in one or more of the following:
US Army: 35x series
US Air Force: 14Nx 1Nxxx series
US Navy: 181x 183x 681x 683x 781x 783x CTx IS
US Marine Corps: 02xx 26xx series
