Job Summary
Amazon MGM Studios seeks a consumer insights researcher to support our mission of delivering popular and high-quality content that customers love to watch and talk about.
The ideal candidate will provide data and analysis on consumer response that will help guide the creative and marketing decision-making process.
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct primary research using various methodologies including surveys focus groups and analyze secondary/syndicated data to understand customer preferences.
Partner with Data Science Development Marketing and Finance teams to represent customer insights in business decisions.
Design and execute surveys analyzing results using tools like Microsoft Excel Tableau and AI solutions.
Transform complex data into clear actionable narratives and comprehensive reports.
Provide research-backed recommendations to Content Development Marketing and Senior Leadership teams to influence project greenlight decisions creative edits and series renewals
Collaborate with third-party research firms on strategic projects that shape business growth initiatives.
Leverage syndicated data sources like Nielsen ePoll and YouGov to supplement primary research
Present research methodologies and findings using strong statistical understanding.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation macros charts and pivot tables)
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- 4 years of supporting quantitative and qualitative consumer research experience
- Knowledge of the television and media industry
- Experience conducting and applying research in a global context
- Experience with all aspects of research (study design recruiting moderation analysis reporting)
- Expertise using AI solutions to automate manual processes and perform analytical tasks.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
