Join our team
In this role you will work at the intersection of materials science fabrication and quantum engineering - contributing directly to the advancement of quantum circuits and related components. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners playa central rolein multiple research and development projects and ensure highquality process execution through advanced characterization documentation and datadriven methodologies.
Additionalkey responsibilities and tasksmayinclude:
- Develop waferscale crystal growth processes using advanced deposition and characterization tools with a strong focus on quantum circuits and related components.
- Participate in multiple R&D projects and provide regular updates on epitaxy processes and materials characterization to QF and NQCP stakeholders via Teams or project meetings.
- Establish and perform inline inspection workflows using tools such as XRD SEM AFM andSensofarfor rapid materials development.
- Act as an expert in advanced crystal growth and fabrication processes for quantum chip manufacturing collaborating with tool development teams to ensure alignment between process requirements and tool specifications.
- Create andmaintaincomprehensive documentation including process flows experimental results and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support the process development team in implementing datadriven methodologies to enable continuous improvement and optimization.
Professional andpersonalqualifications
We are looking for someone who is a collaborative and communicative teamplayer whothrivesin a dynamic and fastpaced environment. You are adaptable and curious by nature with the ability to quickly learn and apply new techniques as our work and technologies evolve.
Your qualificationsandexperience may include:
- Masters or PhD in material science
- 2 years of experience with experimental material science
- Advancedknowledgeofepitaxyprocesses
- Broad knowledge of materials characterization and nanofabrication
- Strong analytical skills andproficiencyin problem-solving
- Able to implement and improve standards for systems engineering and data logging/analysis concepts.
