We have an opportunity for a Deputy Clinical Services Manager to join their team of staff in theTheatres department.
This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Work clinically as part of the rota providing expert oversight and supporting the nursing team during shifts.
Ensure the unit operates safely efficiently and effectively upholding high standards of patient care at all times.
Act as the key point of contact and leader in the absence of the Clinical Services Manager.
Assist with daily staff allocation rotas and managing safe staffing levels and skill mix across the unit.
Support the recruitment onboarding and retention of nursing and support staff.
Oversee the fair and efficient management of annual leave study leave and sickness.
Contribute to audits incident reporting risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
Support the delivery of action plans following RCAs complaints and other reviews.
Promote a culture of safety compliance accountability and continuous improvement.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
Significant experience in a ward inpatient or critical care nursing environment.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
Good understanding of governance patient safety and ward/critical care protocols.
Strong communication organisation and leadership skills.
