PRN Interim Director of Nursing Opportunities with Lutheran Services Carolinas
Lutheran Services Carolinas (LSC) is seeking retired Registered Nurses who are interested in PRN (as-needed) work. This opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs who have previously served as Directors of Nursing and are looking to take on interim DON assignments at various locations throughout North Carolina.
As a member of LSCs traveling clinical support staff you will fill interim Director of Nursing positions on a temporary recognition of your expertise and flexibility LSC offers premium pay and reimbursement for mileage. Please note that this is a non-benefited position.
When interim DON assignments are not available you may also serve as an RN on the floor through LSCs travel division. This ensures ongoing opportunities for work and allows you to remain connected with patient care.

The Interim Director of Nursing is responsible for supervising all direct care nursing staff as well as nurse managers. It is important to note that MDS nurses and the Staff Development Coordinator report directly to the Administrator.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in geriatric nursing and supervision.
Preference will be given to applicants who hold certification as a geriatric nurse by a recognized professional agency or educational organization. Familiarity and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Word Excel Publisher and other programs implemented by Lutheran Services Carolinas is also preferred. Experience with Electronic Medical Records is required.
Candidates must be CPR certified or able to obtain CPR certification.
