Job Summary
Cotting School a recognized leader and innovator in special education is seeking a dynamic and collaborative English Language Educator (ELE) / Special Education Teacher to support multilingual learners within our community. This educator will work closely with a team of specialistsincluding instructional coaches reading specialists assistive technology staff and related service providersto ensure students receive language instruction aligned with their individualized learning are seeking an educator who is passionate about supporting multilingual learners with diverse learning profiles and who is excited to contribute to programming aligned with Cottings DEIA (Diversity Equity Inclusion and Accessibility) ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group English language instruction aligned with students IEP goals and language acquisition needsCollaborate with interdisciplinary team members (special educators SLPs OTs PTs counselors and others) to support student learning and progressContribute to the development and monitoring of IEP goals related to language developmentSupport classroom teachers in implementing instruction responsive to students language needsParticipate in team meetings case reviews and professional learning opportunitiesAdminister required state and local assessments for English language learnersModel culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices and contribute to a collaborative school communityBuild strong respectful relationships with students colleagues and families
