This position reports to:

Engineering Manager - Paper Drives Syste

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities.

The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Automation Process Industries (Pulp and Paper Drives Systems) group in North America.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Acting as a role model in applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects including modelling prototyping simulation and calculations.
Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods.
Leading supervising and coordinates teams (5-25 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects of medium complexity.
Collaborating on project installation commissioning and site activities to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelors degree in an Engineering Discipline.
12 or more years of experience.
Knowledge of and experience with paper machines and winders in the paper industry.
An enhanced knowledge of ABB software in winder applications is strongly preferred.
Candidates must already haveworkauthorization that wouldpermitthem to work for ABB in the US.
