The Burlington School District in Burlington Colorado is seeking a highly qualified Elementary School Principal. The district wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position no later than August 1 2026.
McPherson & Jacobson L.L.C. has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the superintendent in identifying and screening the candidates.
Location:Colorados East Central Plains approximately 170 miles east of the Denver-Metro area along Interstate 70 near the Colorado/Kansas border.
The District: Burlington School District operates on a 4-day week Monday Thursday. The district celebrates small class sizes and a collective commitment to meet the needs of all students.
The Qualifications: The successful candidate must be a highly professional leader for approximately 320 PK-4th grade students who possess unquestioned personal integrity a proven record of success in developing collaborative relationships that result in academic excellence a commitment to continuous improvement of student learning and a belief that all students can learn and be successful. The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Support the mission core values and goals of the Burlington School District
- Develop implement evaluate and improve curriculum and assessments
- Be committed to students professional ideals and ethical standards in pursuit of educational excellence
- Implement high standards and strategies appropriate to the needs of students
- Demonstrate high expectations for all students and staff and provide support required to meet these expectations
- Be knowledgeable about school reform research and best practices special education law and engaging with at risk populations
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for students staff and families
- Lead building and district professional development
- Conduct classroom observations to evaluate instructional practices and supervise staff to ensure continuous improvement of teaching and learning
- Evaluate and supervise support staff
- Manage all building-levelstudent discipline
- Collaborate with the districts data team
Other Requirements: Minimum of masters degree and Colorado Principal Licensure
Salary: Minimum $65650 annually dependent on education and experience per salary schedule. Full family health insurance benefits.
