Job Duties
Job duties include:
Establish sub-recipient financial and reporting requirements and coordinate issuance of sub-agreements.
Conducts vetting of all subrecipients.
Monitors sub-recipients or contractors to ensure they are meeting compliance requirements.
Works with Principal Investigators and Project Directors to create accurate project budgets including salary fringe benefits equipment subcontracts and indirect costs.
Assist Principal Investigators and Project Directors with project no-cost extension requests.
Assist Principal Investigators and Project Directors with project budget revision requests.
Works closely with sponsors/funders to correct any deficiencies with reporting or spending.
Works closely with sponsors/funders to conduct sub-recipient monitoring.
Works with Legal and the Vice President for Academic Affairs to get legal review which requires communicating with partners vendors contractors and other partners.
Works to review reconcile and project award finances regularly.
Ensure grant and contract expenses are allowable allocable and reasonable per grant guidelines.
Process budget modifications rebudgeting requests and cost transfers.
Maintain detailed and accurate records for audit purposes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree is required and is preferred in relevant area and extensive demonstrable hands-on or transferable experience in the area of sponsored programs. Knowledge of federal state and/or community funding sources and mechanisms. Knowledge and understanding of agreements guidelines and policies.
Additional Considerations
A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in accounting finance public administration business administration or a closely related field AND three years of full-time experience in professional accounting and fiscal management; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
