Location: Pittsburgh PA Schedule: Fulltime / Parttime Department: WalkIn / Primary Care Reports to: Medical Director
Position Summary
East Liberty Family Health Care Center is seeking a licensed provider to deliver highquality patientcentered care in our WalkIn Clinic. This role focuses on episodic sameday care for acute and urgent primary care needs in a fastpaced teambased environment.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident adaptable and missiondriven with a strong commitment to serving a diverse community and improving access to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide walkin and sameday care for acute and episodic conditions including minor illnesses and injuries
- Evaluate diagnose and treat patients across the lifespan within the providers scope of practice
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications as appropriate
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR
- Collaborate with nursing front desk care coordination and primary care teams
- Support appropriate referrals and warm handoffs to primary care or specialty services
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Deliver care in alignment with the health centers mission and patientcentered values
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania
- Boardcertified or boardeligible MD/DO or certified NP or PA
- Prior experience in urgent care walkin care primary care or emergency medicine
- Strong clinical decisionmaking skills and comfort managing high patient volume
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an FQHC or community health setting
- Bilingual skills strongly preferred
- Familiarity with underserved or complex patient populations
- Experience with sameday access or openaccess scheduling models
