Our client in the engineering sector is seeking a driven and technically strong Sales Engineer to join their team on a Fixed-Term contract basis.
This role is ideal for a sales professional with a solid engineering background and technically minded who enjoys being hands-on engaging with clients and providing technically sound solutions. The successful candidate must be confident in both technical discussions and closing sales opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify new market opportunities and actively generate leads.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
- Interpret technical drawings specifications and project requirements.
- Recommend suitable engineering solutions based on client needs.
- Prepare detailed quotations and costings in line with customer requirements.
- Liaise with production engineering and service departments to ensure accurate project execution.
- Provide after-sales technical support and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company policies during site visits.
Requirements- Matric
- Engineering qualification (Preferably Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical qualification)
- Minimum 3 years experience in a technical sales or engineering role
- Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret engineering concepts
- Proven sales ability with strong negotiation skills
- Hands-on and practically minded
- Valid drivers licence
- Willingness to travel to client sites
- Self-driven and target-oriented
