Fabrication Supervisor Structural Steel Bury
Permanent 4 Day Week 20.70 per hour 39826.80 Basic Overtime up to 41.40 per hour
An established structural steel manufacturer in Bury is recruiting an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead a heavy structural steel fabrication team.
This is a hands-on shop floor leadership role within a busy structural steel manufacturing environment delivering large scale heavy steel projects. A strong heavy steel background and previous team leadership experience are essential.
Pay & Hours
20.70 per hour
39826.80 basic (37 hours)
Overtime paid up to 41.40 per hour
Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 4.45pm
4 day working week
Supervisory cover required during planned weekend overtime periods
The Role
Lead and manage a team of Fabricators Platers and Welders
Oversee structural steel fabrication activity on shift
Ensure safe systems of work and full health and safety compliance
Monitor productivity materials and workflow across the fabrication department
Maintain structural steel quality standards and production output
Support and develop apprentices and shop floor personnel
Liaise with production management to meet programme targets
Ensure all fabrication documentation and safety checks are completed correctly
The Candidate
Strong heavy structural steel background
Previous Fabrication Supervisor or Team Leader experience within structural steel
Time served Fabricator or Plater background
Confident reading structural steel engineering drawings
Strong health and safety awareness within manufacturing
Flexible and willing to support planned weekend production
Permanent PAYE position offering long term stability strong overtime earning potential and genuine internal progression within a structural steel manufacturing environment.
