How youll contribute
A Pharmacy Technician who excels in this role:
- Prepare and label patient drug orders as directed by the pharmacist.
- Deliver medications to medication rooms and nursing stations as appropriate.
- Review anticipated admissions and medication administration records (MAR) to plan deliveries to automated dispensing machines.
- Restock usable medications/IVs returned to the pharmacy; file medication orders per department procedure.
- Replenish automated medication dispensing machines and document activities per policy.
- Communicate stock utilization and ordering needs; assist with ordering inventory and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What were looking for
Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED. Additional requirements include:
Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy as required by state regulations
Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by state regulations
Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to follow written/verbal instructions; familiarity with automated dispensing systems and inventory workflows; dependable communication and teamwork; basic computer proficiency
