Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital Patrol in Shelbyville TN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas complete routine rounds and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff patients and visitors with clear communication and customer service document observations and report concerns promptly. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by following Allied Universal post orders site-specific policies and assigned security-related procedures within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors lobbies parking areas and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents alarms and requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner including supporting clinical staff during emergency response activities as directed.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow assist with directions and de-escalation and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
- Complete detailed incident reports daily activity logs and shift handoffs and communicate observations to supervisors and client contacts in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are required.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
- Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
