Epic Business Specialist II
(ClinDoc/Epic Orders applications)
(2-3 days on site/weekly)

The Business Specialist II is responsible for implementing commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and delivering quality custom-developed application solutions. The role requires an understanding of business processes and goals and the ability to translate business requirements to solutions for a rapidly growing organization. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual who enjoys collaborating with other team members possesses excellent communication and documentation skills and is highly organized and skilled in the use of Agile methodologies.
This position must coordinate and communicate with other IS resources who are assigned to support application issues and project position primarily works independently and routinely interacts with more senior business contacts.
Responsibilities
Impact Youll Make:
- Completion of assigned tasks to implement application software and maintain existing applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for custom developed solutions
- Work with other business specialists and analysts and product owners to groom the product backlog ensuring that requirements contain correct details and are ready for estimation; present new Product Backlog Items to the team for estimation
- Test application functionality with the ability to develop and complete test cases; coordinate and complete testing of releases within defined deadlines
- Create new and maintain existing documentation for system processes and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to support production applications
- Coordinate and communicate with other IS resources who are assigned to support application issues and project tasks
- Manage review and prioritize project work in coordination with Project Manager/Scrum Master to assure alignment on schedule resources and deliverable
- Adopt Scrum practices and drive continuous process improvement
Qualifications
- BS or BA in information systems business administration health care or related field or equivalent education and experience
- 3 years of experience in Business Specialist/Analyst and customer service skills
- Analytical thinking
- Proven ability to learn vendor applications
Preferred
- Able to independently manage and prioritize workload and expectations
- Ability to collaborate with the team and business operators
- Ability to overcome initial barriers
- Ability to effectively multitask and adapt to changing business priorities
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate changes made to applications
- Superior teamwork time management and organizational skills
