Position Summary:The Communications intern will assist the Communication department in increasing public awareness of the agency. The Department oversees social media communication as well as manages relationships with community stakeholders. You will gain exposure to nonprofit event planning written graphic and digital communication and outreach and fundraising efforts including database management donor acknowledgement and digital donor newsletters. Essential Responsibilities and Target Outcomes: - Understand how to plan promote and execute a major nonprofit fundraising event.
- Assist with writing editing and sending quarterly internal and external digital newsletter.
- Produce and edit short clips for social media posts.
- Track trends and report on metrics to enhance marketing efforts including website social media channels and e-communications.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements: - Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in business Communications Marketing/PR.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written/verbal communication interpersonal presentation facilitation time management critical thinking decision-making and analytical skills.
- Valid CT Drivers License.
