Status: Part-Time Hourly FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: The Employment Instructor assists with Supported Employment through the OVR program for the summer program. Daytime hours are required to support youth during the summer work programming.
- Instructor will contact and meet with area employers to establish relationships.
- Develop supportive relationships with participants.
- Help prepare employment proposals and negotiate job opportunities.
- Ensure compliance.
- Assist with development of job readiness skills and interviewing skills.
This position offers flexible hours competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement.
Hourly Rate: $30 per hour face-to-face and $16.00 per hour non-face to face
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree is preferred.
- High School or GED required with minimum one year of paid experience working with young adults.
- Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with at risk youth and families as well as employers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
- Position requires reliable transportation valid drivers license and current auto insurance coverage.
- Bilingual/Spanish Speaking Candidates a plus.
