Job Summary
Summary
Responsible for providing essential support to the nursing staff and delivering direct patient care to patients in a hospital setting. This role involves assisting with daily living activities monitoring patient conditions and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Essential Functions
-Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing grooming toileting and mobility.
-Provide basic care and comfort including feeding and repositioning patients.
-Help with patient intake and discharge procedures including preparing rooms and providing comfort measures.
-Collect and document patient information including intake and output and assist with specimen collection as needed.
-Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and care plans.
-Document patient care activities observations and changes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) or paper charts.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician CNA/PCT - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required
Experience
Experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting 2-3 years preferred
