Job Summary

CNC Operator Chicago IL
Location: Chicago IL Full-Time On-Site

Oberg Medical is looking for skilled CNC Operators to join our Chicago team. If you take pride in producing precision parts enjoy working with advanced machinery and thrive in a fast-paced safety-focused environment this is the role for you! We are accepting applications to fill both daylight shift and night shift positions.

What Youll Do:

Set up & operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
Read and interpret blueprints & engineering drawings.
Modify CNC programs and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Select the right cutters and determine proper feeds & speeds.
Check finished parts to tight tolerances (up to 4 decimal places).
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area.
Train team members as needed and contribute to continuous improvement.

What Were Looking For:

Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
Knowledge of algebra trigonometry and GD&T preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Experience and Education:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Successful completion of the apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand sit or bend for up to 10 hours per day.
Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and with control.
Reach overhead use hands for extended periods and maintain dexterity.
Ability to stoop or kneel for extended durations.
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment:

Regular movement through manufacturing areas near industrial machinery and moderate noise levels.
This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
