Job Summary

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis liver failure need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigals medication Rezdiffra (resmetirom) is a once-daily oral liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

About the Role:

The International Congress Lead will play a critical role in shaping and delivering Madrigals presence at International congresses. This role connects strategic objectives with execution working in close partnership with International and Global Marketing Medical Cross functional teams and external vendors.

This position requires deep congress expertise granular project management excellence and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver impactful and compliant congress experiences aligned with Madrigal priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Annual Planning and Execution of International Congresses
    • Manage full lifecycle of congress and events for the International congress plan
    • Lead cross-functional congress planning meetings with internal stakeholders achieve consensus regarding content and develop timelines monitor status and provide comprehensive communications across the planning period. Act as main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Lead end-to-end planning and execution for congresses such as: exhibit planning and execution agency management training booth activities participant management hospitality accommodation symposia where required registration systems manage relationships with venues develop project plans define scopes assign internal and external tasks
    • Manage budgeting and financial planning for congresses and events
    • Optimise creative sustainable and cost-effective solutions to enhance congress impact.
    • Integrate congress plans with broader omnichannel strategies
    • Lead vendor management for congresses including process refinement manage deliverables plan and performance oversight
    • Lead cross functional post congress planning and deliverables including tracking engagement levels perceived impact post-event
    • Ensure all congress activities are delivered in compliance with Madrigal SOPs EFPIA and legal and compliance principles.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of Internal events
    • Project lead for internal events including co-ordination of Internal attendees for congress calendar
    • Liaising and leadership with congress logistics providers to secure accommodation hospitality registration systems
    • Manage event materials delegate kits and on-site support planning
    • Ensure compliance with corporate values (quality ambition customer orientation)

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Marketing Business Communications or equivalent experience.
  • Considerable proven experience in end-to-end congress and convention planning including budget management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep understanding of the pharma compliance standards.
  • Deep understanding of the financial aspects of congress management.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills including a strong ability to multi-task and set/handle multiple deadlines and priorities without losing attention to detail.
  • Experience with vendor negotiations and external partnerships essential
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Proficient in Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Required to travel to international congresses and events as part of the role.
