Join our dynamic Finance Economics&Analytics team within Consulting where you will become an integral leader in navigating complexproblemsacross diverse industries. Collaboratively we apply economic principles andleveragefinancial and commercial insights to deliver impactful solutions. Our assignments involve solving complex technical problems as a team including developing financial models business casesvaluations strategic optionsassessment investment and regulatory strategy transaction support economic analysis and other analytical and commercial support. Based inTāmakiMakaurau / Auckland you will be an integral part of our Consultingbusiness unit (which sits within our broader Advisory line of service) providing clients with robust analytical advice and insights.

Your day-to-daywillinclude:

  • Engaging regularly with clients to assess needs and provide innovative solutions using industryexpertiseand honed financialand economicmodelling skills to create impactful service offerings.

  • Driving business development byleveragingmarket presence forging robust relationships and adopting best practices.

  • Presenting strategic insights todemonstrateclient value andidentifyopportunities for expanded services.

  • Leading and managing project teams to ensure effective delivery and success.

  • Overseeing the entire project delivery lifecycle tomaintainquality and meet deadlines

  • Contribute to the growth and development of junior team members by sharing your knowledge and experiences

Our preferred candidatewillhave:

  • 7 years ofexperience ina finance economicstrategicand/orcommercially focusedrole(whether in professional services or in-house)with a strongtrack recordof steering complex projects to successful outcomes

  • Degree in finance economics or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications areadvantageousbut not essential

  • Ability to perform thorough policy regulatory economic market and/orstrategic analysis

Our preferred candidate will also haveexpertiseinsome combinationinthe following:

  • economic or market regulation

  • financial modelling and forecasting

  • undertakingeconomic analyses such as Economic Impact Analyses (EIAs) and Cost Benefit Analyses (CBAs)

  • crafting detailed and persuasive business/ investmentcases to support strategic initiatives
