Job Summary
Job Summary
- Operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment efficiently and safely.
- Perform all warehouse functions including shipping receiving and order fulfillment.
- Utilize RF scanners for accurate processing of inbound outbound and internal orders.
- Ensure all transactions are accurate in item and quantity.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy and Quality Assurance inspections.
- Provide backup support for other departmental functions as needed.
- Perform stock consolidation to optimize inventory and warehouse space.
- Maintain company 5S standards and a safe work environment.
- Meet productivity and quality standards set by department management.
- Inspect and QA all outbound freight for accuracy and damage before shipping.
- Palletize and load shipments to prevent transit damage.
- Load products onto LTL TL trailers and vans.
- Inspect inbound freight for quantity and damage completing necessary documentation.
- Adhere to all department Standard Work Instructions.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and report repair needs.
- Perform C-TPAT compliance inspections and maintain warehouse security for international shipments.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous forklift certification (Reach Dock stocker or Sit down forklift).
- Experience using RF scanners.
- Excellent math and reading comprehension skills; legible handwriting.
- Minimum two years warehouse experience with at least one year operating stand-up forklifts.
- Physically able to walk stand bend reach and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods (team lift for >50 lbs).
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Work in typical warehouse conditions (adequate lighting/ventilation normal noise and temperature).
