RISE is in a search to hire a Quality and Behavior Support Coordinator responsible
for providing behavioral supports that include to model teach and provide 1:1 direct behavioral intervention and skills to individuals who are receiving support from RISE. Additionally this role provides support to RISE management and direct care staff on behavioral supports best practices. Shall demonstrate knowledge of relevant RISE and AZ funding agency policies and procedures implement these policies as required and do so in a manner that embraces the RISE mission vision and values. Supervise and support Quality and Behavior Support Specialists.



Qualifications
  • Standardization:Provide supervision and guidance to Support Specialists responsible for the development implementation and monitoring of behavior plans ensuring plans are appropriate effective and submitted within required timelines. Assure specialists are following organizational policies and documentation requirements for Incident Reporting including the timely completion and submission as required. Contribute to training for district programs.
  • Documentation:Writes implements and updates Behavior Plans (BPs) with ABA based principles. Plans must support individuals in achieving the outcomes identified in their PCSP while promoting skill development independence and quality of life. Ensure correct data collection for BP and trains staff on approved BP for each specific member. Monitor the effectiveness of behavior plans through regular review of data reports and team feedback ensuring that interventions are producing meaningful outcomes for the member. Completes timely documentation required for Incident Reporting.
  • Monitoring:Performs in-person monitoring for BP compliance ensure proper documentation in member files reviews and give feedback for implementation of BP provides in-person behavioral support for group homes and day programs.
  • Therap:Enters BPs in Therap monitors data in Therap provides support and trains staff in Therap.
  • Support:Attends PCSP meetings for all assigned members provides homes and day programs with additional behavioral support attends all special meetings as assigned i.e. PRC emergency meetings ART meetings etc. provides feedback to parents schools and other caregivers as appropriate and provides support with HAB goals.
  • Training:Provides State trainings such as First Aid CPR RANE Article 9 & Prevention and Support as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (Preferred)
  • Experience and education in the field of developmental disabilities or related field (Preferred)
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with managing challenging behaviors
  • Reliable transportation to the work site
  • Must be able to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned

Travel

  • Travel up to 50% of the time

Work Authorization and Clearance

  • Ability to pass criminal background check including Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card drug test and driving record check

Physical & Mental Requirements

  • May include the ability to physically assist people as needed including but not limited to minimum of 25 lbs lifting and/or physically supporting or restraining the person with or without assistance from another person
  • May require the ability to walk kneel stand and other movements in order to implement interventions or assist people in activities of daily living hygiene mobility and cleaning of their home and/or property (e.g. wheelchair etc.)
  • Patience and the ability to adapt to the challenges of assisting some people with daily living skills that may involve repetition and longtime effort before results are achieved
  • Ability to exercise restraint/self-control in potentially volatile situations including being confronted verbally and/or physically in a threatening or aggressive manner by people receiving support and may include the ability to deal with and redirect aggressive behavior that may require approved restraint
  • Ability to quickly respond to health safety and emergency situations
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions that may include dealing with difficult behaviors and situations while handling multiple work assignments
  • Ability to have appropriate interactions and advocate with community and community partners while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
