Job Summary
Our client a large enterprise/government organization is seeking an experienced Databricks Certified AWS Solutions Architect to support the modernization and administration of enterprise data platforms.
This role requires deep expertise in Databricks platform administration AWS architecture cloud automation and FinOps governance. The selected candidate will work with a team of data architects and systems engineers to build scalable automated and cost-efficient data platform solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with Databricks CLI Terraform automation REST APIs and cloud platform operations along with the ability to communicate complex architecture decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Administer and manage Databricks platform environments on AWS.
Utilize Databricks CLI and automation tools to manage platform operations and integrations.
Design and implement scalable cloud data architectures for enterprise data platforms.
Develop automation frameworks using Terraform CLI tools and REST APIs for repeatable infrastructure deployments.
Implement and maintain Cloud FinOps practices including cost monitoring budget management and optimization strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to support data modernization and migration initiatives.
Provide technical oversight and governance for Databricks platform operations.
Manage relationships with Databricks account teams and cloud vendors.
Prepare technical documentation operational reports and architecture presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Support enterprise initiatives focused on data platform reliability scalability and security.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field
7 years of experience in cloud platforms data engineering or data platform administration
3 years of hands-on experience administering Databricks environments
Strong experience with Databricks CLI and platform administration
Experience working in large enterprise or government environments
Strong expertise with AWS cloud architecture and services
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Experience with REST API integrations and automation frameworks
Knowledge of Cloud FinOps cost governance and budget management
Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to leadership
Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional
