The BI Director is the strategic pivot who translates business needs into actionable data solutions (dashboards reports analyses). He/She is the essential link between business teams and the companys data assets ensuring that BI efforts are aligned with strategic objectives and that the information provided enables informed decision-making and in-depth strategic analyses.
He/She plays a key role in supporting the strategy of all departments and in accompanying their data-driven transformation so that they develop their maturity in their data domains.
He/She leads a team of business analysts whose technical progression and knowledge of data and business in their domains he/she will have to ensure in order to develop their autonomy.
1. Strategy and Business Alignment
Business-Data Link: Act as a key partner with business departments to understand their challenges key performance indicators (KPIs) and information needs.
Strategic Prioritization: Define and maintain a BI roadmap aligned with the companys objectives. Evaluate and prioritize BI requests and topics based on their potential business impact and technical feasibility. Jointly build the roadmap with the Data Office.
Data Governance: Collaborate with Data Governance teams to ensure the quality integrity consistency and reusability of data used for reporting and analysis.
2. Dashboard and Reporting Design
User-Oriented Design: Supervise and participate in the design and architecture of BI dashboards and reports. Ensure they are relevant intuitive accurate and effective in supporting decision-making.
Development: Creation of dashboards and analyses with the resources of his/her team in coordination with the data office.
Standardization: Implement reporting and visualization standards (graphic charter definition of metrics conventions) to ensure uniformity of information and harmonization of measures throughout the company.
Adoption and Training: Promote the use of BI tools and dashboards. Provide support or sessions to help business users correctly interpret data.
3. Strategic Analyses and Insight Generation
Opportunity Identification: Beyond regular reporting conduct complex ad hoc analyses to identify hidden trends anomalies or business opportunities.
Support for business processes: Provide the data analyses and projections necessary to support business decision-making processes.
Data Readability: Ensure the translation of raw analytical results into clear and actionable business recommendations for Management and operational teams.
Value Measurement: Define and monitor with the data office value indicators created from data products: gains productivity operational use.
4. Management and Leadership
Team Management: Lead mentor and develop the BI team as well as certain members of the data office as a functional manager.
Project Management: Drive the execution of BI projects ensuring compliance with deadlines budgets and quality of deliverables.
Technological Watch: Stay informed of technological developments in the field of BI data visualization and analytical platforms.
Coordination with the data office: the BI department and the data office will be in constant cooperation and synchronization to
carry out the developments necessary for the BI department when these cannot be handled by the BI department
ensure the technical and functional convergence of the data products developed and the satisfaction of business users

JOB HOLDERS PERSONAL PROFILE:
Previous experience:
More than 10 years of experience in business intelligence data analytics or performance management including experience in a multinational group or a digital environment. Proven experience in leading data/BI transformation projects and influencing executive decision-making.
Education Level / Certifications:
Masters degree in Business Data Science Engineering Statistics or related field.
Languages: Proficiency in English (mandatory); French or other European languages are a plus.
Computer skills and software used:
Knowledge of BI solutions JIRA/Confluence
Knowledge of data architecture and governance principles
