Head of Compliance - Your future role

As the Head of Compliance in Vernier you will be reporting to the CLCO the Head of Compliance will play a pivotal role in shaping the compliance framework that supports Givaudans ambition for sustainable long-term growth. The new leader will ensure the compliance function is a forward-looking enabler of innovation growth and enterprise value particular this function will:

  • Sponsor compliance and ethical principles across the group i.e. adherence to applicable legislation and Givaudan policies.
  • Implement a new Compliance Program and Compliance Structure aiming at covering compliance of all functions of the Group worldwide providing the ExecutiveCommittee & Board with assurance that the framework is effective and continuously improving.

Your main responsibilities:

  • As a strategic leader set and oversee the direction of Givaudans compliancestrategy ensuring alignment with the companys evolving business model growth agenda and global operations
  • Lead the implementation of the compliance organisation including clarifying rolesreporting lines and decision rights across the function enabling a strong governance and culture
  • Elevate Givaudans integrity and compliance culture by clearly defining the role ofCompliance revising internal policies and embedding integrity and compliance as a company-wide value
  • Partner closely with senior leadership and the board to ensure robust governance ofcompliance risks including escalation protocols and transparent reporting
  • Build a high-performing legal team with the right capabilities leadership and tools tooperate effectively across business units and regions
  • Manage compliance aspects of the activities of the group and ensure coordination ofcompliance approach across the regions and divisions
  • Support the group functions in achieving their objectives and strategies withpragmatic and sound compliance approaches
  • Ensure adequate compliance resources and competences are available to supportthe activities of the group across the various fields of activities and across the regions
  • Design compliance policies and strategies to govern the compliance aspects of thegroup activities

Head of Compliance activities include (directly or indirectly) without limitation:

  • Provide advice on best way to achieve the groups goals and strategies generally and in individual situations
  • Design processes or standards and coordinate their implementation globally
  • Coach internal teams on their relationship with third parties and other counterparts to address compliance matters
  • Manage compliance projects and scout for applicable new technologies
  • Hire instruct and supervise outside consultants or other service providers
  • Put in place the necessary policies processes and training to ensure compliance with applicable laws in the compliance/whistleblowing field antitrust anti-bribery and data protection;
  • Act as a sounding board and advisor to EC members for compliance topics that are within the EC members scope of responsibility
  • Manage compliance projects keep abreast of legal developments in the compliance field (such as whistleblowing antitrust data protection anti-bribery) and scout for applicable new technologies
  • Manage (directly or indirectly) whistle blowing lines and internal investigations relatingto compliance issues
  • Work with the Executive Committee to drive the right mind set around compliancethroughout Givaudan
  • Implement and manage a modern risk-based compliance framework for all the groupand for all the functions worldwide as well as related continuous monitoring and preventivecontrols
  • Manage regular reporting of compliance issues and initiatives to the ExecutiveCommittee and the Audit Committee
  • Create an integrated governance platforms which would enable Aligned Assurance

People Management

  • Lead direct evaluate and develop professional staff to ensure that compliance activities across the group are conducted accurately ethically and according to corporate guidelines.

You have:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in an international firm and as a high ranking member in the compliance department of a multinational company.
  • Experience as an in-house is a must.
  • Experience in complex international listed setting
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to drive develop and motivate a team of professionals spread across the world
  • Some travels will be required
