The position is limited to 1.5 years starting September 01 2026.

Job description

The University of Southern Denmark Department of Clinical Research offers a position as a postdoc in relation to the User-operated Audiometry (UAud) project.

The overall aim of the project is to validate and implement user-operated audiometry as a clinically reliable alternative to manually conducted audiometry in hearing aid rehabilitation. Building on completed and ongoing clinical studies the postdoctoral project focuses on further validation implementation in real-world clinical settings and evaluation of different patient care pathways.

Key activities include analysis of clinical and patient-reported outcome data coordination of implementation studies in collaboration with ENT clinics dissemination of results through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations and contribution to the continued development of clinical workflows using user-operated audiometry.

Expectations of qualifications

Candidates must hold a PhD degree from a Danish or foreign university in audiology medical science hearing technique acoustics or related fields.

  • Must speak Danish as the project involves a lot of patient contact.
  • Good skills in English oral and written.
  • Knowledge of statistical analyses using STATA or similar statistical packages is desirable.
  • Documented experience in research or projects from former studies or present job.
  • Knowledge of audiological measuring methods from a clinic will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of hearing aid fitting is an advantage
  • Interest in audiology and ear diseases.
