We are seeking a UK-based Partnerships Manager to strengthen and grow our work across the UK. You will lead engagement with our network of national and community partners driving collaboration fostering meaningful communication and identifying opportunities that help teachers embed micro:bits into classroom learning and extra-curricular contexts. As a non-profit organisation this non-commercial role plays a vital part in raising the Foundations profile and demonstrating its impact across all four UK nations.
This is a 4 days a week 0.8 FTE 18 months fixed term role with the possibility to extend. This role is remote with travel around UK at least once a month in person Foundation meet-ups two to three times a year along with smaller team meet-ups when required.
Key responsibilities
Partnership management
- Act as the Foundations main point of contact for UK community partner organisations establish regular touch-points with key contacts.
- Build maintain and manage relationships with existing and new partners sharing relevant micro:bit content and resources as needed.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to collaborate with like-minded organisations and events that increase visibility and stakeholder engagement.
- Support the Head of EMEA with managing community partners ensuring communications and network-building.
- Work closely with the Education team as new content resources webinars and courses are developed and ensuring this information is circulated to relevant contacts and partners.
Engagement & communications
- Liaise with partners on campaigns initiatives and micro:bit-related communications managing a schedule and record of these.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop tailored partner messaging and recommendations.
- Represent the Foundation at national and regional events recording contacts and following up opportunities.
- Contribute to the growth and coordination of the micro:bit champion programme leveraging leadership skills to maximise its reach and impact.
Reporting & evaluation
- Coordinate partner impact reporting gathering and analysing data for quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
- Track and communicate the outcomes of partner activities showcasing reach and impact.
- Work with internal teams (Education Marketing Product Technology) to ensure UK projects are aligned and impactful.
RequirementsPerson specification
Required
- Commitment for the Foundations mission to broaden participation in digital creativity and coding particularly among girls and underrepresented groups.
- Experience collaborating with global national or regional partners in education community or technology.
- Demonstrable success in building and managing relationships with multiple partners delivering measurable results.
- Confident communicator: skilled at presenting pitching and delivering sessions both online and in person.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive with the ability to identify and act on new opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload priorities and reporting independently.
- Willingness and availability to travel across the UK to meet with partners attend events.
- Demonstrable experience and interest in the education technology sector with knowledge of digital products tools software publishing etc.
Desirable
- Experience in B2B client stakeholder or partner management.
- An understanding of education content digital marketing social media.
- Strong copywriting skills advantageous.
- Public-speaking and keen presentation skills an advantage.
- Skills in data management reporting and visualisation (e.g. Google Analytics infographics dashboards).
- Local networks and knowledge of education ecosystems an advantage.
