Mid-Market P&C Underwriter

Salary: Circa 45k

Location: Kent(Hybrid Working 60% away from home)

Were looking for a Mid-Market P&C Underwriter to join a growing commercial team in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to profitable growth service excellence and the development of broker relationships in key markets.

What Youll Be Doing

Underwrite mid-market commercial P&C risks accurately and in line with appetite.
Build and maintain a sustainable panel of broker prospects.
Develop and strengthen broker relationships to identify opportunities and market trends.
Issue accurate documentation and ensure compliance with processes and regulatory requirements.
Use trading insights data and decision-support tools to deliver profitable growth.
Collaborate closely across internal teams to drive portfolio success.

What Youll Bring

Exposure to the UK General Insurance market and existing broker relationships.
Strong technical underwriting expertise in commercial P&C.
Commercial awareness negotiation skills and decision-making capability.
Analytical skills with experience in account monitoring and action planning.
Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for insurance.
Cert CII qualification desirable but not essential.
Team player with a curious pragmatic and proactive approach.
