The Software Engineer is responsible for designing developing testing deploying and maintaining software components that support Cisions global SaaS platform. This role contributes to the full software development lifecycle and collaborates cross-functionally with teams across regions. The position requires solid technical knowledge problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver in a fast-paced Agile environment.
What Youll Do
- Build high-quality scalable and maintainable software solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies sprint planning and daily stand-up
- Contribute to system and application architecture discussions ensuring scalable and maintainable design patterns
- Collaborate with product managers designers and QA to deliver new features
- Develop APIs and services with security performance and reliability in mind
- Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to shared coding standards
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews technical guidance and knowledge sharing
- Support deployment and operational monitoring of applications
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize existing systems
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team

- Contribute to system and application architecture discussions helping shape designs that meet performance reliability and scalability goals.
- Build and maintainbackend services and APIswith security performance and resilience asfirstclassconcerns.
- Write performant C# and SQL codeto supportenterprisescaleworkloads (serving over800000 usersacross our applications).
- Collaborate closely with product managers designers and QA engineers to deliver featuresend-to-end.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planningstandups backlog refinement and retrospectives.
- Conduct peer code reviews uphold shared coding standards and promote software craftsmanship.
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize existing systems in production environments.
- Support deployments monitoring and operational improvementsas part of a continuous delivery mindset.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharingwithin the team.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where appropriate.
What You Bring
Core Technical Skills
- 3 years of professional experience developingweb applications using C# .
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principlesand practical experience applyingcommon design patterns.
- 3 years of experience working withrelational databases(e.g. SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL) and writing efficient SQL.
- Experience building enterprise or SaaS applications with attention to performance scalability and maintainability.
- Hands-on experience with at least one modern front-end frameworksuch as Angular or React.
Engineering Practices
- Ability to writeclean maintainable and testablefullstackcode.
- Experience working in a professional engineering environment that values:
- Git-based source control
- Code reviews
- Unit and integration testing
- Continuous integration and delivery
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies(Scrum or Kanban) in short sprint cycles.

- Experience withORM or data access frameworkssuch as Entity Framework Dapper or NHibernate.
- Practical experience with unit testingand exposure toTDD or BDD practices.
- Experience with serviceorientedormicroservicesarchitectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platformssuch as AzureAWSorGCP.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines automated deployments and production monitoring.
- Experience with containerized systems(Docker Kubernetes) is a plus.
