Job Title: Assistant Design Manager Valves
Department: Engineering / R&D
Reporting To: Engineering Manager / Head Design
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Design with 10 years of expertise in industrial valve design for Oil & Gas LNG Subsea and critical service applications. The candidate will lead design projects manage a team of engineers and ensure compliance with international standards such as API and ASME.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end design and development of industrial valves (Ball Butterfly Plug etc.).
Review and approve design calculations (pressure stress torque sealing performance).
Ensure compliance with API 6A API 6D API 6DSS ASME B16.34 ISO and other international standards.
Guide team in detailed engineering 3D modelling drawings and BOM preparation.
Lead new product development and design improvements.
Coordinate with QA/QC production procurement and testing teams.
Support third-party inspections audits and customer technical discussions.
Handle failure analysis root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Drive cost optimization and design standardization initiatives.
Required Skills
Strong expertise in valve design for high-pressure and critical service applications.
In-depth knowledge of API ASME ISO NACE PED standards.
Leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in SolidWorks / AutoCAD.
Strong analytical and decision-making capability.
Qualification
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
Additional Details :
1.Working Days:Monday to Saturday (1st and 3rd Saturdays off)
2.Experience: 10
3.Working Time:9.30am to 6.30pm
4.Gender Preference: Male / Female
