Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Marine & Technical Expertise

  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on FPSO marine systems leveraging experience as a Marine Engineer Officer or Marine Chief Engineer Officer.
  • Support troubleshooting activities remotely when required ensuring the maintenance team receives meaningful technical input.

Maintenance Planning

  • Develop implement and optimize maintenance strategies for FPSO marine hull and topside systems.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules using CMMS tools (SAP) ensuring accurate work order preparation and followup.
  • Review validate and approve work orders and maintenance documentation for quality and technical compliance.

Class & Regulatory Compliance (BV)

  • Lead and coordinate marine certification processes with Bureau Veritas (BV) ensuring full compliance with class rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise effectively with BV surveyors marine teams and contractors to plan and execute certification activities.
  • Track certification cycles and ensure timely preparation and submission of required deliverables.
  • Align maintenance and inspection activities with BV survey timelines to maintain FPSO readiness and integrity.

Contractor & Inspection Coordination

  • Collaborate with thirdparty contractors for inspections such as:
  1. Underwater hull surveys
  2. Lifting gear inspection
  3. Lifeboat inspection and testing
  • Ensure all inspection findings are captured addressed and integrated into maintenance planning workflows.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability schedule compliance downtime and integrity performance.
  • Support operational audits reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to team development by sharing technical knowledge and supporting training activities.

Job Location:

Onshore resident Lagos



  • Experience as Marine Engineer Officer or Marine Chief Engineer Officer strongly preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in offshore FPSO or marine engineering environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of FPSO marine hull and topside systems.
  • Proven experience with maintenance planning tools (SAP experience is an advantage).
  • Familiarity with classification societies preferably BV and certification workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear technical guidance and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to drive maintenance performance and uphold safety and compliance standards.
  • Fluent in English.
