This position coordinates daily human resources functions and operations. Responsibilities include supporting administering and monitoring HR processes to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations while advancing the mission of Oklahoma Christian University.
Qualifications: - Earned bachelors degree in human resources business administration organizational development organizational psychology or a related field required
- Minimum of two years of progressively responsible human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
- Active member of a local church and aligned with OCs Christian mission
- Knowledge of human resources principles and practices including talent management employee relations benefits workers compensation and applicable federal state and local employment laws
- Demonstrated problem-solving relationship-building and collaboration skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain policies and procedures to staff and faculty
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in office computer systems to organize store and retrieve data
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a high level of customer service and follow-through
- Understanding of and support for the Christ-centered mission of Oklahoma Christian University
Responsibilities: - Support and facilitate HR processes to ensure an ethical fair and consistent approach to employment practices
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal state and local laws and regulations
- Assist with a variety of HR functions including employee relations benefits administration and talent management
- Communicate policies and procedures clearly to employees and departments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in HR systems
- Provide excellent customer service to employees applicants and the public
- Collaborate with departments to support HR-related needs
- Other duties as assigned
