1Chevrons Shale & Tight Business is accepting online applications for the position of Electrician Apprentice located in Midland/Odessa TX through March 31 2026at 11:59 PM (Central Standard Time).
The Electrician Apprenticeship is designed to build technical skills in the electrical and Lineman discipline and gain experience in field operations. As part of the program apprentices will assist in installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing electrical power distribution systems and related equipment. This role supports safe and reliable operation of facilities and field assets by performing work on overhead and underground electrical systems substations and associated electrical infrastructure in accordance with applicable codes standards and safety procedures.
Through a combination of structured training and immersive on-the-job learning Apprentices are introduced to the complexity and criticality of work management maintenance execution and equipment servicing/repair. The position provides direct exposure to the Chevron Way Values and the strong safety culture that defines the Shale & Tight Business.
Apprentices will work closely with a dedicated mentor complete two assignments across different operational areas to develop a broad understanding of how teams and functions work together to safely deliver production and minimize downtime and will also participate in computer-based and classroom training.
This is a temporary 6month field-based position.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Applicants must meet at least one of the following: Completed an Electrician or Lineman apprenticeship program OR have equivalent education or military training. Additionally a minimum GPA of 2.5 in core classes is required and transcripts or proof of completion of an Electrician or Lineman apprenticeship program must be uploaded to the applicants online profile
Must have a valid Drivers License
Ability and willingness to work day and night shift work weekends and holidays based on the assigned work schedule.
Live within 50 miles of the work location or be willing to relocate within 50 miles of the work location for the duration of the apprenticeship
This is a Safety Sensitive Position. Candidates must demonstrate personal commitment to Incident and Injury Free Operations with a proven record in Safety and Reliability
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with reliability safety and/or environmental process-related issues.
Previous construction electrical utility or industrial experience
Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word Excel Outlook etc.) and an aptitude for learning new software applications.
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers contractors and internal and external customers.

Relocation benefits will not be considered for this position.

International assignments will not be considered.
