Job Summary

SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans instruct students evaluate and monitor students performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.
Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8

AND
Arizona SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement OR Spanish-Bilingual endorsement OR ESL Endorsement
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

Teacher will be expected to work with students of varying level of language proficiency at 2-3 different sites as itinerant.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.

Valid Drivers license (Arizona Drivers Licenserequiredwithin 30 days of hire)

MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described underGoverning Board Policy: EEB-R-1Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

COMMENTS

Effective:2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

LOCATION:Language Acquisition-1010 E 10th Street

FTE : 1.0 7.5 hours per day

Work Calendar:9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
